OUR VISION
To create a mentally healthy and culturally thriving Australia.
OUR CORE PURPOSE
To have a positive impact on the mental health of Australians.
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLE
"No Change Without Understanding™"
If we want to affect change – we must seek to understand first and foremost. To do this we must come into a meaningful and authentic relationship with ourselves and with others. Our guiding principles of No Change Without Understanding™started with our indigenous programs connecting Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to each other, culture, Country, history and traditional practices. The ethos of No Change Without Understanding™ has now evolved to also be recognised by Life Again as its fundamental philosophy and guiding principle when delivering preventative mental health initiatives.

OUR 3 PILLARS
CONNECTION
When we connect with ourselves, we gain more understanding of how and why to connect with others.
When we connect with others, we regulation of our emotions, maintain self-esteem and genuine empathy – all leading to a greater depth and experience of positive emotion.
When we connect with nature, we open our senses and begin to understand our place within something far greater, giving us a deeper sense meaning and purpose.
Connection paves the way for a spiritually richer and more deeply rewarding life.
STORYTELLING
When we share stories authentically, we connect as our true selves.
We build bridges for connection and breach the divide between age, cultures, religions, beliefs, and legends. We have learned that each story told reveals that we share a common reality – and the recognition of that reality builds bonds that give us strength.
When we share story, we gain a greater understanding of shared truths and vulnerabilities – bonds of emotion and thought that stretch across generations and cultures.
GIVING BACK
Giving back has been found to generate a meaningful sense of purpose and satisfaction.
Contributing meaningfully gives us a greater sense of identity, self-confidence, and connectedness.
We come to understand the meaning of gratitude more deeply – an understanding that begets and fosters a stronger and more lasting state of wellbeing.
At Life Again, we bring life to the concepts of volunteering, of sharing knowledge, resources, skills, and time to tangible effect.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY
We acknowledge all First Peoples of this land, their stories, traditions and living cultures.
We deeply respect their intimate bond with nature, spirit and story and we must try harder to listen, for we have much to learn.
At Life Again, we live, work, and walk today on Country cared for and protected by First Peoples since time immemorial, for which we are grateful.
Sovereignty was never ceded and we are committed to creating a brighter future, together.

We’re very appreciative of Nick’s presentation on preventative mental health, which felt topical and much needed in an ever-changing landscape. It was relevant to every individual, regardless of where they are in life’s journey. For us, creating a psychologically safe workplace is of the upmost importance and Nick’s presentation created a space for our team to comfortably share and encouraged them to continue these important conversations.Madeline Maurici - People and Culture Advisor
Life Again is trying to reverse 240 years of Australian history by exposing non-Aboriginal Australians to an Aboriginal perspective, given on country, by the traditional owners of that land.Martin Flanagan, Journalist & Author
A few days with others listening and discussing with traditional owners on their land enlightened me. I appreciate better the importance of land culture and language. It also gave me a better appreciation of the challenges faced. Meeting Johnny Liddle and some of his extended family was a real treat.Leigh Clifford AO Former CEO, Rio Tinto & Chairman, QANTAS
A remarkable program - Life Again - is successfully helping to restore life to the emotional desert that can encircle men. Life Again strips away all the macho hubris that men accumulate. In but a few short days, meaning is restored to lives again. Last year, I found life again. It restored a tiring soul. I would do it again in a heartbeat.John Agar - Conjoint Clinical Professor of Medicine (Nephrology)
A once in a lifetime insight into our first peoples.Ray Wilson Australian Rules Football champion

Gareth spoke at our Blokes Mental Health Dinner in November 2019. The 200 guys in the room were silent as Gareth shared his personal story and techniques for guys to better equip themselves for the challenges of being a man, husband, father & leader in the workplace. All done with a touch of humour. The panel session was particularly interesting as the guys could bring their stories to the room. A great way for guys to have better conversations with each other.Peter Winneke - Yajilarra Trust
